On Monday, our Renisizzle Group visited Stony Brook College
in Long Island, New York. We traveled by taking the LIRR at 61-Woodside. Stop
by stop we eventually got there. It took about one hour and a half to go there
and get back. However, it was worth it while it lasted. We saw different parts
of the school. We saw the Light Engineering, Heavy Engineering, Simons Center
for Geometry and Physics, Humanities, Earth and Space Sciences, Medical Center,
Dorms from the outside, Gymnasium, Library, and, the Bookstore. It seemed like
most students studied medicine, business, engineering, and, etc. It's a type of
science school. So, if you don't like science, you shouldn't step foot in
there. It's a competitive SUNY and is very diverse. Since, it was finals week we couldn’t really
experience seeing the real college life. However, what I like most about this school is the environment.
For example, if you wanted to study you can choose to be outside in the light
studying or inside a quiet place inside. Whatever your choice is, you will feel
comfortable. The people around there also seem very nice unlike in any other
place you would step in. I wouldn’t
apply to this school because it doesn’t have things that interest me as for a
major that I would like to study. I would like to study something completely
different from Stony Brook. Then again, that’s just me. Other people should
apply if it is what they really desire for their future.Overall, it was a great experience for a day.
