Lehman College
On May 9, 2012 our group visited Lehman College. It took us about 30 minutes to get there using a school bus. When we got there we took a tour of the college with the help of one of the alumni from T.R.C.S. He explain how Lehman has teachers that demand respect from students, although there are teachers that are more or less strict than others. While visiting we decided to eat in the cafeteria which is also connected to the music building. Being in the cafeteria I saw a variety of foods and I notice that most of the students were very social while they eat. I like the library Lehman had, which is known as the Leonard Lief library. Within the library you have a section where it is very quite and students could do their work, but there are other sections, such as a section where you could eat and another section in where you could do group work. The bad thing is that the library closes at 9pm. Another thing I didn't like about Lehman is that there are no dorms, so if you have to go to class you’ll have to travel every morning. Something else that I like about Lehman College was that if it is raining or snowing hard , there are tunnels in which you can take to get to class without getting wet. I also like that students could even film the class they are taking but only depending if the teacher lets you. I also like how the college has a beautiful lawn and how it is a no smoking college. In addition it also has a lot of emergency poles in case of an emergency. This college has many great things and to top it off it also has college advising which is really good for each student to have.
