On Wednesday, May 9th 2012, our Rensizzle group visited Lehman College.
To get to Lehman we actually took the school bus, but to go back home or if you
were going back to Renaissance we took the 4 train to 42nd street Grand Central
and caught the 7 and took it to 82nd street Jackson heights. The process of
traveling remained as easy as it was for the previous colleges, which was
fairly easy. When we arrived at Lehman we were accompanied by a 2009 graduate
from The Renaissance Charter School. His name was Enrique and he showed us all
of the main spots around Lehman and places that he spends most of his time at.
At Lehman there are different buildings such as the APEX building which holds
gym equipment and major buildings such as Lecture halls, the building that
students actually have class in, health buildings and the Cafe. I learned that
the things teachers are teaching us now will be very helpful information for
when we're in college, especially at Lehman. I wouldn’t say that there’s a
specific major that Lehman students study because there are different majors to learn about and choose from
depending on what you like. I like that Lehman is diverse. The fact that you
can find any nationality, race/ethnicity, religion and more at this college is
amazing. Also people hang out with people outside of their ethnicities. I also
enjoy the athletics that they have at Lehman, such as basketball, baseball,
soccer, tennis and much more. There's not much that I don't like about this
college. Overall, it's a good college academically and socially and that's
probably why I'd apply.
